2010 Ring of Honor

Ring of Honor inductees for 2010 were honored at final home game of the season, May 22, 2010.

Shelley Burnson#64 Shelley Burnson
For Shelley, playing football was a dream. A longtime sports enthusiast,
some of her earliest memories are watching sports with her father and
throwing a football around during halftime. Playing for the Diamonds from
2002 to 2005, Shelley was a cornerstone of the Championship O-Line.
Stepping into the position as General Manager from 2006 to 2008, she
continued to live the passion for the game by being an invaluable member
of the management team. Off the field Shelley is a resident of Arlington
Texas and works for Exxon Mobil. She is very active in various charities
and especially all Multiple Sclerosis organizations.

Moma#51 Ivette 'Moma' Young
Moma, as she is so passionately known, came to the Diamonds after playing
a season for a start up team in Denton. It wasn’t long into her time with
the Diamonds that her leadership skills on the field and off were rewarded
with the position of Captain. In the position of linebacker, Moma was one
of the most feared players in women’s football. Known for knocking the
life out of you and giving you that big ‘Moma smile’, she lived a dream
every time she stepped on the field. During her career she received
multiple All Star nominations and team awards. Off the field, Moma has
been married to the love of her life Jeff for 26 year. They have two
beautiful children Britney and Carl. Moma works as a counselor for the
Texas Youth Commission and is a member of the riot team at Gainesville
State School.
